Who We Are

Education: The Foundation of a Thriving Community

Healing with Feeling started work on academic and medical aid projects on a small scale in early 2014. These projects were funded from proceeds raised by holding Yoga camps and spiritual workshops .

Presently the trust has taken over the education of more than 35 children from Haridwar, Rishikesh and Kasauli .

We are now looking to adopt the schooling and education of children in the more remote and hilly regions of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Inspiring Hope, Empowering Lives

It is said that the challenges life throws at us also bring out the best in us. Yet, at a time like this, it can be argued that the challenges posed by the second wave of the pandemic are just too daunting to identify any positive outcomes whatsoever. Undoubtably, the pandemic is daunting, fearsome and threatening not only to physical health, but also mental health. Some documented mental health impacts of the pandemic are feelings of distress, de-motivation and meaninglessness. However, it is precisely at chaotic times like this, that there are a few things we must remind ourselves of. One of these is that human history has always been fraught with immense struggle, difficulty and perils. But a corollary to all these struggles has been the tenacity, perseverance and fighting spirit of the human race. During this time of chaos and illness, we must draw upon this human spirit and remind ourselves that we have time and time again overcome calamities. And we shall do so once again.

Traumatic times stir many questions in us. For example, how do we make sense of what is happening? How may we find our strength at a time like this? Perhaps the first question has no one correct answer. We could call it an act of God or find a reason in Science and politics. The attribution that gives us peace, is the attribution we can select. The second question can be answered more adequately. And to answer it we need to reflect upon previous life experiences. Ask yourself, what gave you strength in the past. Was it the support of loved ones, was it a connect with nature or was it taking care of yourself? The things that helped you in the past, are still the ones with strong potential to help you in the present. The one condition is that we remain willing to use these resources, as opposed to distancing ourselves from them. Its also easier to approach life during such times, when we engage with something that adds meaning to our existence. Famous psychiatrist Viktor Frankl said that one way in which meaning could be created in life was by ‘creating a work or doing a deed.’ During this time engaging in the task of educating young minds, hungry to learn and grow, may be a significant way of creating meaning. Education shall serve a particularly important purpose currently if teachers can infuse a sense of hope in children by providing the message that with patience and time and by being responsible towards our health, we can overcome this adversity.

A Note of Gratitude and Grace

The generosity of compassionate souls like Mr. Rajen Mehta reminds us that true kindness lies in giving with heart and purpose. Through his thoughtful donation of high-quality spices—essential to every kitchen—countless families have been blessed with nourishment, dignity, and comfort in their daily lives. These were not merely supplies, but symbols of care, respect, and mindful giving. Each packet carried warmth, encouragement, and the assurance that someone truly cares. Such acts of selfless service strengthen communities, uplift spirits, and create lasting ripples of hope. We are deeply grateful for Mr. Rajen Mehta’s noble support, which has touched many lives and continues to inspire meaningful change.

Heartfelt gratitude to
Mr. Shravan Kumar

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Shravan Kumar for his extraordinary generosity and compassionate support.

His kind donation will not only help in providing nourishing meals to the children but will also significantly contribute to their extra education. In particular, Mr. Shravan Kumar has graciously contribute towards funding the tutorials for children who require additional academic support, & the extra guidance needed to excel in their studies. Such meaningful contributions create lasting impact. We deeply appreciate his commitment to nurturing both the well-being and the future of these young minds.

With sincere thanks and respect,
